Radical Liquid Face Paints

Radical is an Australian made liquid face and body paint, and it solves a problem cakes do not. When you have to cover an arm, a back, a chest or a stand full of footy supporters, a liquid goes on with a sponge in seconds and dries fast. This is the paint for sports days, colour runs, festivals and body art, rather than for fine line work.

The range

Standard colours come in 40ml jars, with white and black doing most of the work, joined by purple, orange, yellow and silver. The Fluro Neon UV colours in green, orange and red are made to react under blacklight. Red is also available in a 200ml bottle for anyone painting at volume, and the Starter Set is the easy way to get a working spread of colours in one purchase.

How to get the best from it

Shake well before use, decant a little rather than dipping a used sponge straight into the jar, and apply thin. Two thin coats dry faster and crack less than one heavy coat. Liquid paint and water activated cakes work well together: block in the large areas with Radical, then detail on top with a cake and a brush.
