Face Paint Angle Brushes
An angle brush is cut on a diagonal rather than square across, so one corner comes to a fine point while the rest of the edge still covers a wider stroke, useful for shading under a cheekbone or along an eyebrow in a single pass. Opeth's Artist Brush Angle range is the deepest here, running from No.1 through to No. 12, alongside Heart Face Art's 3/4 Inch Angle Brush and TAG Body Art's Angle Brush No. 12.
Reading the Opeth numbering
- No.1 to No. 4: small shading, brow and eye work
- No. 5 to No. 8: cheek contouring and mid-size shading
- No. 9 to No. 12: broader sweeps of shade or colour transition
An angle brush's diagonal edge sets it apart from the squared-off flat brushes, and from the rounded corners of a detailer brush built for fine lines rather than a broad shaded edge.
