Practice Faces and Heads
A Copyboard is a wipe clean practice sheet printed with a design outline, numbered one to ten and themed from brushwork basics through to Crowns & Butterfly and Flowers, so a beginner can trace a stroke pattern before trying it freehand on skin. They sit alongside laminated practice faces in Boy, Original and Side on angles, and two styles of head, flat backed for a table and standing for a shelf, for anyone rehearsing a full design rather than a single stroke.
Choosing the right one
- Learning brush control: start with Copyboard No. 1 Brushwork or No. 3 Swirls
- Learning splitcake blending: Copyboard No. 6 Beginner Splitcakes or No. 7 Splitcakes
- Rehearsing a whole face layout: a laminated practice face, a reusable board such as the Girl or Boy design, or the TAG Body Art practice face
Pair any of these with our beginners' face painting book for a structured lesson plan, or a beginner kit if you are still building your colour range.
