White Face Paint

Nothing pulls together a skull, a snowman or a ghost costume like a confident coat of white. It's the base every high contrast design leans on, and at a market stall or a school fete it's usually the first colour a face painter reaches for.

Choosing the right white for the job

A standard white cake covers well but can look chalky if it's the only layer. A strong white, such as the TAG Body Art Face Paint Cake 32g - Strong White or Diamond FX 30g Face Paint Cake - Essential White, holds more pigment, so one pass sits opaque over a coloured base. A paraffin based option like the Fusion Body Art Face Paint Cake Prime - Prime White 32g loads onto a damp brush smoothly, for work that needs to glide rather than drag.

Getting clean coverage for skulls, snow and bone

Sponge white on first as a flat base, let it dry fully, then use a brush loaded with the same white to pull sharp bone lines, snowflakes or teeth. Black goes on last for outlines and shading, once the white beneath has set, so the two colours don't drag together. If you paint white highlights on a coloured face, always work over dry paint, not wet.

Rounding out the kit

The TAG Body Art Face Paint Cake 32g - White is the workhorse for everyday bookings, and it sits alongside our TAG Body Art cake range and Diamond FX cakes. Pair white with a strong black face paint for outlines, browse Fusion Body Art for split cakes that soften the blend, or check our Frozen themed collection for a snow queen look.
