The products that decide whether your makeup survives the night. Barrier sprays prep the skin before application and seal the finished look afterwards, locking colour in place against sweat, heat and contact.

This matters more in Australia than almost anywhere else: Halloween falls in spring, parties are warm, and face paint that would last all evening in the northern hemisphere can slide by nine o'clock here. A barrier spray is the single cheapest insurance you can buy.

Removers take products off gently at the end of the night — far kinder to skin than scrubbing, and essential for spirit gum and heavy SFX work.
