Liquid Latex and Skin FX

The building blocks of special effects makeup. Liquid latex, scar wax, modelling putty, rigid collodion and burn gel let you build real three-dimensional texture onto skin — wounds, scars, blisters, peeling flesh and decay.

Where to start: liquid latex is the most versatile and the easiest to learn — stipple it on, let it dry, tear it for peeling skin. Scar wax and modelling putty are for sculpting raised wounds and broken noses. Rigid collodion puckers the skin for instant scars. 3D burn gel gives blistered, melted effects.

A note on latex allergies: liquid latex contains natural rubber latex. Always patch test on the inside of the elbow 24 hours before use, and never apply to broken skin. If you have a known latex allergy, use modelling wax or premade prosthetics instead.
