Grimas Covercream Pure - Dark Grey 16ml

Grimas Covercream Pure is a high-pigment cream make-up in a twist-up stick, so it goes straight from the tube onto the skin with no palette and no sponge. Grimas describes Covercream Pure as a versatile and vegan make-up made from plant-based oils and waxes, for use as a base or as light camouflage.

Dark Grey is the subtle one, and the one experienced artists run out of first. Black shadows can look like holes; grey shadows look like bone and hollow. Use it to sink cheeks and temples on a zombie, to age a face for theatre, for stone and statue skin, for soot and dirt after a fire scene, and to soften the transition where a black socket meets a white skull base. It is also the tone of weathered undead skin when sponged sheer over the whole face.

How to use Grimas Covercream Pure

Twist up about five millimetres and draw straight onto clean, dry skin, then blend the edges with a fingertip, a brush or a damp sponge. Applied sheer, grey reads as shadow; applied heavy, it reads as stone. Set with a translucent or fixing powder.
