A strong white for the base, a dense black for eye sockets and linework, one sponge and one round brush will get you through the majority of Halloween looks. Add fake blood, a bruise wheel and a stipple sponge when you want the look to turn genuinely gruesome.

Is Halloween face paint safe for skin?

The face paints we stock are cosmetic-grade, water-based and formulated for use on skin — not craft or acrylic paints, which should never be used on the face. Always patch test on the inside of the elbow before a full application, avoid the eye area and broken skin, and remove with warm soapy water or a gentle cleanser at the end of the night.
